Acceptance

By accessing or using Smoke & Soil ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

The Platform

Smoke & Soil is a fire cooking and growing platform providing recipes, guides, and tools for home cooks and growers. Certain content is available free of charge; premium content requires a paid subscription.

Your account

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure
• You may not share your account with others
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms

Subscriptions

Paid memberships (Smoke, Soil, or Smoke & Soil) are billed monthly. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your account page — your access continues until the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial months.

Subscription prices are in GBP and include VAT where applicable. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.

Content

All content on Smoke & Soil — including recipes, guides, text, and images — is owned by or licensed to Smoke & Soil. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.

Content is provided for personal, non-commercial use only. Cooking and growing advice is for guidance — always exercise appropriate care and judgement.

User-generated content

By submitting cook log notes or other content to the Platform, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to use that content to improve the service. You retain ownership of your content.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to circumvent subscription access controls
• Scrape, copy, or systematically download content
• Interfere with the security or operation of the Platform

Limitation of liability

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Smoke & Soil shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify subscribers of material changes by email.
